Bristol Rugby Shirts

The Bristol play in a dark blue and white striped shirt. The Shirt is currently manufactured by KooGa. The Bristol home rugby shirt does not differ much in terms of colour with the front been nearly all white with blue stripes on the side of each shirt.

The club was formed in the year 1888 and for sometime was known as the Bristol Football Club. Strangely enough the club was formed when two clubs called Carlton and Redland Park merged, another club called Westbury Park was also invited however declined the offer. The first match played by the club was against a string Cardiff side which resulted in a bad loss. Over time the club grew stronger and in the 1891 season the club won 20 out of its 24 games, a fantastic achievement for such a young club. Like most of the English clubs Bristol has a rich history and in today’s professional environment this can still be seen. Since 2003 the teams has been coached by Richard Hill. The first few seasons where hard as the team was largely rebuilt however in the 2007 and 2008 the team finished in 3rd place in the Guiness Premiership resulting in qualifying for the Heinken Cup for the second time ever.
